Snowmobile Safaris
Welcome to enjoy the wild nature of Lapland on snow mobiles. First we'll change appropriate clothes at the safari's starting point. Our professional guide will give details about snowmobiles before we start. All the safaris will be driven safely on the tracks, which are well maintained. We always take to consideration the client's driving skills. Please take your driver's license with you and notice the Finnish law for the per mille limitations when driving!
Prices include VAT, guide's services, driving equipment, fuel, insurance (self risk 500€) and also the activities and foods mentioned in the safari.
Dash to the reindeer farm
We'll drive to reindeer farm. See reindeer and experience the short but fast ride with a reindeer (1km). After the ride we'll enjoy a cup of tea or coffee with a bun and drive back to Levi. Length of the trip: 30 km. Duration of the trip: 2- 3 h.
Ice fishing safari to a Lappish lake
Flashing to the Lappish lake where we try our luck on ice fishing. We might get a perch, burbot, spike or even a rainbow trout. After fishing we'll grill some sausage and enjoy a cup of coffee by the campfire. One more exotic experience in to your memories. Length of the trip: 30 km. Duration of the trip: 3- 4 h.
Safari into the wilderness
Enjoy a moment outside and the beautiful views by driving the snowmobile. This safari will take you through the snowy forest and around the Kätkä fell via Muusa to the Lapp hut of Jolhikko. There we'll grill sausage and have a hot beverage. Length of the trip: 55 km. Duration of the trip: 2-3 h.
Safari to the art gallery
We'll drive the snowmobiles to the art gallery in Pöntsö, where we'll familiarise us with the Reijo Raekallio's fabulous art. The day's delicious meal is the Lappish sautéed reindeer with mashed potatoes and for dessert the Lappish breadcheese with cloudberries. If we are lucky we'll meet the artist himself. Length of the trip: 60 km. Duration of the trip: 3-4 h.
Safari to the husky dog farm
We'll head up with the snowmobiles towards the husky farm where we'll get to know the hard working dogs. You'll also get a chance to experience how to ride a husky sledge (5km). After the husky ride a hot beverage and a grilled sausage will be served by the campfire. We'll drive back to Levi by the snowmobiles through the beautiful sceneries of Lapland. Length of the trip: 35 km. Duration of the trip: 4 h.
Safari to the Lappish Lake
We'll drive through the snowy views to the Lappish Lake. During the break we'll grill sausage by the campfire, enjoy a smokereindeer bread and hot coffee with a bun. After the break we'll drive back to Levi via place called Promised Land by the river Ounasjoki. Length of the trip: 72 km. Duration of the trip: 3-3,5h.
Snowmobile safari and sledge dog ride at the husky kennel
Spend an unforgettable day in Lappish way! We`ll start with the snowmobile safari - you´ll get a change to experience how to ride a husky sledge (4 km). The day´s delicious lunch is served by the campfire in the Lapp hut (salmon soup and pancake with coffee). After we`ll try our luck on ice fishing! And back to Levi. Length of the trip: 40 km. Duration of the trip: 4-5 h.
Lunch safari to the Lappish hut
Our route will take us by the Kätkä fell to the Joutsenranta, Lake in the wilderness. The view is breathtaking towards the Aakenustunturi fell. In the Lapp hut (if the weather is warm and sunny by the lean-to) we'll enjoy a creamy salmon soup, smoked reindeer bread and for a dessert Lappish cheese cooked in cream with cloudberries, not forgetting the coffee made on open fire. We'll take a different route back to Levi. Length of the trip: 106 km. Duration of the trip: 5 h .
