Let us help you discover the treasures of this beautiful country! The following descriptions are just basic examples of the activities. Changes can be made or different programmes can be combined according to your wishes. When you take part in our activities please wear warm clothes suitable for the weather. Warm outfits can also be rented from us.
Playful games
Summer Olympics in Levi
A cheerful olympics games are declared to open in a beautiful environment by Lake Immeljärvi, "The Lake of God", located between two magnificent fells Levi and Kätkä. The special Lappish games include paddling a canoe, throwing a Sámi lasso and a boot, rope pulling, sack jumping...Finnish competing culture has long roots so there are plenty of activities to choose. After the games we will enjoy coffee made traditionally by a campfire and sweet bun. Best of funniest performances will be rewarded. Duration approx 1,5 hours Min. 10 person. Team Building
Enjoyable and playful team-building games will be tested in wonderful environment by Lake Immeljärvi. The teams are tested by their knowledge of Lappish values and "hunting". How to make a fire in the forest , whittle a wood "kiehiset" , boiling a water , catching a reindeer etc. Additionally you will learn how to make your own "joiku" Lappish hymn. Brains and muscles as well as a good sense of humour are needed in these games. Traditionally made coffee is served by a campfire. Duration 2 hours Min. 10 person. Price includes: guide, transportation in Levi area, coffee and doping. Open-fire lunch for additional charge.
Golf chipping - in a Lappish hut
A Lappish style golf guide will lead the players to the secrets of a golf chipping in a beautiful environment by Lake Immeljärvi. A Guide will also tell you last Levi Golf-news. Chipping is carried out in the real spirit of Golf. Everyone will compete against one self. Sparkling wine is served for the Hole in one. This is very enjoyable programme between your meetings. Duration 1h, min. 10 person. Price include: guidance, equipment, beverage and Hole in one-insurance . Open-fire lunch for additional charge.
Hiking trips
To the top of Levi
We go up to the Levi by a scenery lift (gondola or express) and continue by walking. On the top of the fell we toast Lappish fairies and enjoy the panorama of Lappish wilderness. Campfire coffee will be served in a Lappish hut. Return by gondola or walking. Duration approx. 2 hours, min 10 person. Price include: guide, transportation in Levi area, lift ticket, coffee, drink (sparkle wine) and rain coat in necessary.
Guided Nordic walking
Enjoy a fresh air and try Nordic walking! Easy route goes around beautiful Lake Immeljärvi, approx. 5km. We will stop by a campfire and enjoy a cup of hot/cold drink. During the tour guide will tell you interesting stories of Levi. Duration approx. 1,5 hours, min. 10 person. Price include: guide, drink and Nordic walk sticks.
Hiking in the nearby fell Kätkä
The trek takes place in the splendid scenery of the Kätkä and Levi fells. According to the wishes of the group, either an easy or a more demanding route through the fells can be chosen. On the way, we stop for a break in the marvellous rugged Lappish landscape. At the end of the trek, we make some tasty coffee by a campfire. Duration approx 3-5 hours, min 10 person. Price include: guide, snack and coffee. Campfire lunch for extra charge.
Hiking in fell Aakenus
We will take a trip to the Lappish wilderness! Aakenus Fell offers interesting historical sites and hiking routes of different levels and lengths. You will see the landmarks of the Ice Age, as well as other signs of Nature and history. During the hike, we will stop now and then for some enjoyable tasks like singing to the ancient mountains, picking berries, listening to the stillness... not forget some delicious snack enjoyed by a campfire. Bus trip to Aakenus takes about 40 minutes. Duration approx. 5 hours, min. 10 person. Price include: guide, transportation, snack (sausage, drink, coffee and bun).
Canoe trips
Our canoeing trips take place in a natural beautiful river Ounasjoki and Lake Immeljärvi. The nature of Lapland is famous for its unspoiled beauty. You will enjoy as well as beautiful landscape and delicious snacks by an open fire. The trips are easy and suitable for all ages. Price include: in one canoe/2-3 person, life jacket, raincoat, the snacks mentioned in programme and guide. Ask an offer for more demanding canoe trips.
Canoe trip around Lake Immeljärvi
The Midnight sun paddling, enjoy a beautiful environment of Lake Immeljärvi by paddling around the lake. We will enjoy coffee made traditionally by a campfire and sweet bun. Duration approx. 2 hours. Canoe safari to the river Ounasjoki
Ounasjoki is a beautiful river in its natural state. We start our paddling trip from a little village Köngäs. We paddle a canoe with a pleasant flow toward a magnificent Levi fell. On the break by white sand beach we will grill a sausage and drink a traditionally made campfire coffee. This enjoyable paddling route is 10 kilometre long and very nice way to see Lappish exotic wilderness. Duration approx. 2- 3 hours. Min 10 person. Price include: guide, transportation, snack.
Lappish nature and culture
Excursion to the Conference and Culture Centre Levi Summit
Let´s go up with Gondola lift to the top of Levi. We will walk down to the north slopes where the Conference and Culture Centre Levi Summit is situated. On the way we will see a wonderful landscape of Lapland. In Levi Summit we will make a tour in the art exhibition of Lappish well-known artists. After a coffee break a gondola express takes us down to the centre of Levi. Duration approx. 2 hours. Min. 10 person. Price include: guide, transportation on Levi area, tickets of gondola lifts and art exhibition, coffee.
Experience a Finnish National Park and Reindeer Farm.
An excursion to the Pallas-Ylläs National Park and a visit to a traditional Lappish village and a reindeer farm. During the visit, we find out about Lappish nature (flora and fauna), history and culture. In 1993, our destination, Torassieppi was voted the most valuable village in Finland for traditional scenery. At Torassieppi, we learn about practical reindeer husbandry and a typical year in the life of a reindeer. At the Lapinkartano Mansion, we find out about the Lappish way of life of bygone days, and the traditions of the hostelries. At the Reindeer Museum, there is a slide on the life of a reindeer over the course of a year. Duration approx. 5-6 hours. Price include: guide, transportation, Pallas-Ylläs National Park exhibition and a little walk along by fell river, reindeer farm, lunch and coffee.
Excursion to Reidar Särestöniemi Art Museum
In Särestöniemi you will enjoy the art of one of the best known Finnish artists as well the environment which consist of several architectural buildings. Old and new mix and match in the museum area. On the way to museum you will hear information about Kittilä region and Lappish way to live before and now. After the tour we will have a lunch at the museum restaurant. Duration approx. 4-5 hours.
